Well said, Daniel. You are very wise for one so young. Take care and look after yourself and know that there are a lot of people who care about your wellbeing (even though you haven't, and probably never will, meet most of us face to face).
Bravo Daniel! This is very important subject matter and affects many people all over the world. I too struggled in school due to the fact that I was different than most. You are doing a wonderful thing here! Bravo!
Childhood trauma alters many things. I had similar experiences and have some very rough patches. Therapy helps. Tools like minfulness, breathing and good supportive reading materisls and friends. You are not alone. But the bottom line is the healing part is hard - and it is something only you can do.
For anyone reading this who knows someone who is or has been suicidal. It is okay to ask someone directly---are you having suicidal thoughts? Do you have a plan? People attempt or commit suicide because they are in PAIN. It can be psychic, physical or emotional pain. It is not a cry for help as much as it is an attempt at relief. It is not a sign of weaknesss. You do not need to be depressed ---though people often are to consider. It is scary. Never tell someone suicidal that they should not feel that way---they have so much to live for. That just layers on more feelings of guilt and distress. If you can't handle someone than get help that can. Show up. Care.
It does make a difference. I have been on both sides. I know---you can maje a difference.
Thank you, Daniel, for speaking about this. It takes courage to speak about mental illness: sadly there is still stigma attached, especially for males. We need to do better at this. Moving your equipment to the family area is a wise move and will help shift your thinking. Your family is your 'A team'. And your genealogy tribe has also got your back: think of us as your 'G team'. Keep up your great work on Project Daniel.

Good for you Daniel in recognizing your problem and working towards fixing it.
Big hug to you
